This Privacy Policy explains how Learn Marathi (“we”, “us”, “our”), the publisher of the website and progressive web app at https://marathiseekho.com (the “Service”), collects, uses, and shares information. The Service helps auto-rickshaw, taxi, and cab drivers practise Maharashtra RTO oral Marathi questions.

We operate from India. This policy is written to meet Google AdSense privacy disclosure requirements, Google Analytics disclosures, and applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

You can use the Service without creating an account and without providing your name, phone number, or payment details.

• On-device practice data. Question progress, mock-test results, and home-screen install choices are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device. This data is not uploaded to our servers.
• Voice for scoring (optional). If you tap a speak button, your browser may use the Web Speech API to convert your voice into text so the app can check keywords. On Google Chrome this processing is typically performed by Google as part of the browser. We do not receive or store audio recordings on our own servers. You can skip speaking and only listen.
• Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Service is used (for example page views, practice events, device category, browser, and approximate location derived from IP address). Google may set cookies or use similar identifiers.
• Advertising data. When ads are shown through Google AdSense or certified partners, Google and those partners may collect the advertising data described in section 4.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps to operate, secure, and debug the Service.
• Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive the address and content you include, and use them only to respond.

3. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

The Service uses:

• First-party local storage for progress and app settings.
• A service worker that may cache pages and assets on your device so the app can load faster or work with a poor connection.
• Cookies and similar technologies from Google for analytics and, when ads are served, advertising (including advertising cookies and identifiers).

You can delete local data by clearing this site’s cookies and site data in your browser settings, or by uninstalling the home-screen app. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser; some features may then work less well.

4. Google AdSense and advertising cookies

We use Google AdSense (or may display Google ads) to support the Service. In line with Google’s requirements:

• Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.

5. How we use information

We use information to:

• provide practice, scoring, and mock tests on your device;
• measure and improve the Service;
• show ads and measure ad performance;
• secure the Service and prevent abuse;
• respond to your messages; and
• comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Legal bases and Indian law

We process personal data to provide the Service you request, for our legitimate interests in operating a free educational site, for advertising where permitted, and where required by law. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, advertising and non-essential analytics cookies are used only as allowed by applicable consent rules. If a consent banner is shown, you may accept or reject non-essential cookies.

7. Sharing

We share information with service providers who help us run the Service, including Vercel (hosting) and Google (Analytics, AdSense, fonts self-hosted via Next.js, and Chrome speech recognition if you speak). They process data under their own terms. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users and the Service.

8. Retention

On-device progress remains until you clear it. Analytics and ad data are retained by Google according to their policies. Emails we receive are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

9. Your choices and rights

• Use the app without the microphone.
• Clear site data or uninstall the home-screen icon.
• Opt out of personalized Google ads via Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
• Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access, correction, or erasure of personal data we hold, or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, by emailing support@marathiseekho.com.

10. Children

The Service is intended for adult drivers preparing for Maharashtra RTO oral tests. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International processing

Hosting and Google services may process data on servers outside India. By using the Service you understand that your information may be transferred to those locations with safeguards those providers apply.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Material advertising changes will be described here before or when they take effect.
